Two buildings located within the premises of the Assembly of God church at the Destination Cross River roundabout at the Murtala Muhammad highway are currently on fire.

The fire which began about 25 minutes ago is said to have been either caused by a power surge or from the kitchen as the resident Pastor could be seen running around with a kitchen knife in his hand.

As at press time, this reporter learnt that relevant authorities have been contacted while the Homeland Security team posted at the roundabout are directing residents to stay away from the electricity cable running overhead.

It is currently unclear if there is anyone inside the houses while concerned neighbors struggle to put out the fire.

The resident clergy is said to be currently at loss over options as all his properties are inside.

Also, the houses are surrounded closely by other homes and there are fears that it may cross to other homes.
