In what is obviously a preparatory measure to a full blown strike, members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, Cross River State University of Technology, CRUTECH Chapter Congress have just adopted a motion of “NO PAY NO WORK” until salaries are paid.
This means lecturers in the school are withdrawing their services and they say the services remain withdrawn until their salaries are paid up to the last coin in December 2014.
One of the lecturers who just stepped out of the meeting told CrossRiverWatch under anonymity that: “We will still be going to work but we will not go to classes. This is just the first step in preparation for a full blown strike.”
Further details later……..
