Canice Atsu, the Obudu Urban Development Authority Executive Secretary who was kidnapped last Saturday has been released CrossRiverWatch can authoritatively report.

A family source, John Atsu disclosed this Saturday, during a chat with our correspondent in Calabar.

John is the Senior Special Assistant to Cross River Governor, Senator Ben Ayade on tourism. He told CrossRiverWatch that his younger brother was released on Friday.

As at press time, it was unclear whether a ransom was paid to release him.

Information surrounding his release remains vague.

Canice as earlier reported was kidnapped by unknown gunmen a few minutes after arriving his home along Ranch road in Obudu after attending a function in Ogoja.
