The National Productivity Centre has carried out sensitization campaigns on the need for youths in Cross River State to be productive and take their education seriously.
The Cross River State Coordinator of the Centre, Mr Joseph Bankole gave this charge while carrying out the sensitization campaign across secondary schools in the State.
The essence of the campaigns, according to Mr. Bankole is to inculcate in young ones the spirit of hard work and academic excellence necessary in equipping them to be self-reliant, and deter them from becoming nuisance to the society.
He said, “presently in the State, the Centre has established Productivity Clubs in some of the schools with students as executives who were elected into those offices while discussions are ongoing in other schools across the State to form the clubs”.
National Productivity Awareness campaign, which is a flagship programme of the Centre is aimed at catching young ones to embrace productivity etiquette and spreading the frontiers of productivity as well as getting a group that will be in the vanguard of entrenching productivity for national development as part of the vision 20:2020 target as well as the transformation agenda of federal government.
