Make Contributions That Will Arouse The Dignity of Obudu, Ibeshi Tells Kinsmen

by crossriverwatch admin

A former Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN governorship candidate and former member, House of Representatives, Mr. Emmanuel Ibeshi has urged the people of Obudu to use the coming year 2013 to make positive contributions that will arouse the impugned dignity of the Obudu people.

The former PDP national director of publicity made this call yesterday in a Christmas message to members of the Obudu Stakeholders Forum on facebook.

In the message Mr. Ibeshi who is now based in the United States said “I believe a lot has been revealed, discussed, critiqued and solutions preferred on how to regain lost grounds for Obudu albeit the entire Senatorial District of the North and CRS as a whole. It’ll be over flogging the issues continuing raising more dust on why we find ourselves where we are.

“May the coming year create a yearning and thirst that can only be quenched by our collateral collapsing of ideas and strength that can make the name of Obudu echo from the north through the central to the south of CRS and Nigeria in general. Generations before us have done it in times past. The genes of those heroes and sons of Obudu run through our veins as well and we can repeat the feat!!! Yes, we can.”

BELOW IS THE FULL TEXT OF HIS MESSAGE:
I wish us all a very merry Christmas in this Forum and a 2013 that is full of change based on the God kind of love (AGAPE).

I believe a lot has been revealed , discussed, critiqued and solutions preferred on how to regain lost grounds for Obudu albeit the entire Senatorial District of the North and CRS as a whole. It ‘ll be over flogging the issues continuing raising more dust on why we find ourselves where we are.

I believe the way forward is to map out strategy on engaging purposeful discuss by elders and leaders who are stakeholders in our common destiny for meaningful dialogue and strategic engagement in midwifing the desired change be it towards political leadership or economic opportunities.

It is commendable that this Forum has attracted stakeholders both within the country and diaspora to issues germaine to our rising up from our erstwhile prostrate and servile position in CRS and national politics. It is time to move on to strategic engagement of all concerned who feel the weight or enormity of the task ahead to show same enthusiasm in directing this Forum towards the way forward. Casting aspersions on elders or leaders or contemporaries who have made suggestions here at the moment won’t help the noble cause the initiators of this Forum intended.

As we round up 2012 and embrace 2013, my prayer is to see viable cerebral contributions that would arouse the impugned dignity of the Obudu spirit in all of us to wake up the mighty giant in us all with an aim to create an empathy that can fuse the fabric of our so far disunited efforts at standing and speaking up for our rights and the good of all as we are wont to be known in times past.

May the coming year create a yearning and thirst that can only be quenched by our collateral collapsing of ideas and strength that can make the name of Obudu echo from the north through the central to the south of CRS and Nigeria in general. Generations before us have done it in times past. The genes of those heroes and sons of Obudu run through our veins as well and we can repeat the feat!!! Yes, we can!!!!!

I wish you all a very fulfilled 2012 and an energized spirit-man clothed with values that Christ brought in this season to change the world we live in. Christ didn’t find it easy. I don’t expect we will find it easy either.

May the grace The Lord promised us abide and be with us all.

I WISH YOU ALL A VERY ACTION PACKED VALUE ADDED 2013!!!!
