The ICT Center, a $260 billion industry is targeted at diversifying the nation’s economy from an oil driven one to a private sector led one, thereby boosting the creation of more jobs.
Software developers from across the country were also gathered for EXPO exhibition to showcase their works; an indication that Nigeria will soon be a name to reckon with in terms of technology and ICT skills like America, Asia, China a few to mention.
The center, which will also be referred to as Tinapa knowledge city, is a vision shared between the state and federal government to encourage youths from all parts of the country to be on top of their game in the world of technologies.
Cross River state governor, Liyel Imoke said “building infrastructure surrounding the mind is the best legacy any government can leave behind” thus the vision behind the knowledge City Center.
