Senator Ben Ayade, the Senator representing the Northern Senatorial District of Cross River State has called on the second batch of beneficiaries of the Nigeria Maritime and Safety Agency, NIMASA, scholarship scheduled to proceed for foreign studies in foreign universities to be good ambassadors of Cross River State, their home state.
Senator Ayade who facilitated the scholarship for youths of his Senatorial District comprising the five local government areas of Obanlikwu, Ogoja, Obudu, Bekwara and Yala to study in Romania and Philippines advised the beneficiaries to take their studies seriously, so that their families, local governments and state would be proud of them on their return.
The Senator who spoke through his Personal Assistant, Dr. Steve Odey said the four-year study program is to equip them intellectually and socially so they would contribute meaningfully to their communities and state.
The batch departing on Sunday, 15TH of December, 2013 is the second, and would join their counterparts who left in September for studies in top grade universities in the Philippines and Romania.
