Headline Rapper, Nigga Raw Donates To Mrs Imoke’s Destiny Child Center

One of Nigeria’s headline rapper and musician, Okekechukwu, popularly known as “Nigga Raw” has donated to Mrs. Imoke’s Destiny Child project.

Abia state born Nigga Raw as he is popularly known is undoubtedly Nigeria’s pioneer of rap lyrics in indigenous ‘Igbo Language’ and has been in the music industry for more than a decade.

He has been a consistent face and a member of the A rated artistes that perform in the annual Cross River Christmas Festival since 2007.

The musician told CrossRiverWatch when contacted on phone that he was touched by effort of Mrs. Imoke to save lives and take children out of the streets of Cross River State, and he had to do what he did as a way of giving back to the society.

“I wrote, composed and recorded an album to support her excellency in her effort to save the children of Cross River State.

“I look from the distance and made researches and personal contacts to confirm this effort of Mrs. Imoke and as a matter of fact it will surprise you to know that I had a show in Port Harcourt and came to Calabar unannounced to anyone to make findings of what my contacts told me about her excellency’s in Mother Against Child Abandonment MACA and A State (or is it Society) Fit for A child ASFAC.

“Please who I’m I speaking with sef? Because Madam will be shocked that I did all these before I came out with the album to support her which paper is this?

Nigga Raw performed during the last destiny child fashion show last December alongside Iyanya where he announced to the audience that the proceeds from the album he used his personal resources to produce will be given to the Destiny Child Center, an orphanage run by Mrs Imoke.

CrossRiverWatch gathered that Nigga Raw has been supportive of children in his home state, Abia and 9 villages in his Oko community in the last five years.
