NDDC Constructs Kitchen In Calabar Prison

The Niger Delta Development Commission NDDC has constructed a modern kitchen for the inmates of Calabar Prison to be deliver soon.

Commissioner representing Cross River State on the Board of NDDC, Honorable Paul Adah disclosed this to newsmen during the inspection of the facilities at Afokang Prison, Calabar.

He said the modern kitchen newly built by the commission was to give the inmate a better place for their daily feeding in the prison.

The kitchen he said was built with a modern hall and dinning sets where the inmates will stay to eat their food and bring them under one roof to make friends and reflect on their bad deeds.

Hon. Adah said all the basic facilities will be provided in the kitchen to make it befitting and classic before the final handing over to the management of Calabar prison.

The kitchen according to CrossRiverWatch findings is 90% completed leaving only few facilities to be acquired and other finishing touches.
