The Executive Chairman of Boki Local Government Area, Hon. Abubakar Ewah, yesterday inaugurated the executive arm of the Council in Boje, the capital of the council area.
This arm includes the Secretary of Council, Supervisors, Special Assistants, Personal Assistants and a Chief of Staff to the Chairman.
While addressing the new appointees, the Chairman lamented the absence of such basic administrative infrastructure like a Council Hall in Boje more than two decades into the creation of the Council Area.
He charged the appointees to generate memos that will boost governance and fast track the development of Boki.
Hon. Ewah who has since renovated the abandoned Chairman’s House and taken up residence in Boje, directed all appointees to live and work in the Council Headquarters.
He said he expects those who wouldn’t want to comply with this directive to out rightly turn down the offer of appointment.
Some of those inaugurated include, Mr. Benedict Nthu, Council Secretary, Peter Orubette, Supervisor, Environment and Water Resources, High Chief Steven Akpo, SA Peace and Security, Hon. Michael Osang John, Supervisor, Agric and Natural Resources, Ntagi Nandi, Supervisor, Education and Youth Development, Chief Francis Otu Odu, Supervisor, Due Process.
Others include, Gabriel Bisong, Supervisor, Works and Public Utilities, Jonathan Obi, Supervisor, Finance and Economic Planning, Barrister Emmanuel Odu, Legal Adviser, Mrs. Ann Banku Ebu, Supervisor, Health and Social Services and Ms. Bukie Okangbe, Chief Press Secretary.
