Young Entrepreneurs are set to emerge from the Cross River North Senatorial District as fifty persons sponsored by Sen. Ben Ayade the senator representing the Cross River North District have passed out of an accelerated enterpreneursship traning from the Central Bank Enterprenurship Development Center in Calabar.
The intensive Entrepreneurship training which started early March came to an end on Tuesday with the fifty beneficiaries drawn from the five Local Government Areas comprising Obanliku, Obudu, Bakwara, Ogoja and Yala trained on the rudiments of setting up new businesses.
The trainees who have returned to their homes are expected to be financially empowered by the senator to establish the businesses of their choice.
Besides paying their accommodation bills, and feeding expenses for the 50 persons during the training, their transport fare to and from Calabar was paid by the Senator.
One of the beneficiaries of the training, Solomon Inok, told our reporter that the program is the first of its kind and “shows Senator Ben Ayade as a visionary leader and a goal getter though unassuming but has tremendous capacity to uplift others”.
According to Inok, an ICT specialist, “Senator Ayade is teaching people how to fish not just giving them fish and this training will bring meaningful change to the lives of not only the beneficiaries but also their families and those they will employ in the businesses to be established”.
Mr Augustine Ogar, another beneficiary said Senator Ayade is one of the great wise men Cross River State has produced and deserve a higher position to better the lot of the people of the state”.
“senator has an advantage for his philantropism which has impacted positively on his constituents since his election into the Upper House of the National Assembly in 2011”.
