Information reaching CrossRiverWatch say that fighting resumed this morning between neighboring Ukwotung and Kutia communities in Obudu local government of the state.
CrossRiverWatch sources confirmed that market women who were on their way to Udama market in Utugwang were forced to turn back by rampaging youths and men who had blocked the Ogoja road with barricades and dangerous weapons chanting war songs.
No deaths were confirmed as at press time but CrossRiverWatch gathered that several persons with bullet wounds and other injuries are been moved from the scene of hostilities to hospitals in Ogoja and Utugwang.
The Special Adviser on Security to the Executive Chairman of Obudu LGA, Mr. Spokesman Agogo told CrossRiverWatch that he also got the information and was on his way to the scene of the ongoing war.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Cross River State, Mr. Hogan Bassey said he was not aware of the development.
The reason for the renewed crises was not immediately clear but it will be recalled that the two communities have been fighting a protracted battle over disputed land.
