A governorship aspirant in the 2015 general elections in Cross River state, Chief Francis Bullem has stated that for the entire populace to become financial independent there was need to create wealth through entrepreneurial development.
He said it was necessary for the state to groom youths who are aspiring to become entrepreneurs and create wealth for themselves through skill acquisition and agribusiness.
The ex-banker who stated this yesterday during an interactive session with some youths from the northern senatorial district of the state when they paid him a courtesy visit in Calabar, added that politics was not the only career that could create wealth rather there were other lucrative ventures that can also make the youths financial independent.
He said in this era where government cannot provide jobs for the entire populace, youth needs to start developing entrepreneurial mindset for their own benefits and for the growth of the state.
“I want to let you know that as young people you need to establish a formidable career it is not only in politics that you can make money rather there are other good and legitimate businesses you can run and become great, because at this point where we are everybody needs to have a multiple stream of income to be able to live a comfortable live.
All these can be achieved if only we start realizing the benefits abound in entrepreneurship.
Many of you have come here to drum support for me because you think by the grace of God if I become the governor of the state I would fix you in one or two offices but I want to let you understand that politics is not the only way out especially for young graduates like you are.” He advised.
