Cross River Security Adviser Loses Mother, To Be Laid To Rest 15 August

Mr Rekpene Bassey, the Cross River State Security Adviser has lost his mother, Mrs. Akador Elizabeth Odu, who passed on at the Nigerian Navy Hospital Calabar, on the 13th of June, 2014 at the age of 84 years.

In a letter addressed to CrossRiverWatch, Mr. Bassey stated that Mrs Odu was a devout Christian and Matriarch of the Baveritam family of Ekabom in Ediba, Abi Local Government Area of Cross River State.

“I write on the behalf of my family to bring to your notice with a heart full of deep sadness the sudden death of my beloved mother, Akador Elizabeth Odu”.

According to the letter, the burial rites will begin on Friday 15th of August with the departure of the deceased body from the Nigerian Navy Hospital for Lying-in-State at Ediba at the family compound.

Mr. Basey said the body of his beloved mother will be interred in the family compound after a memorial service has been held by the Assemblies of God Church.

“Your kind support, as God may lead you, particularly through prayers as well as your cherished presence at the funeral will be more than profoundly appreciated.” The letter concluded
