The pageant representing Federal Capital Territory, Abuja; Elizabeth Ndukwe, 20 has emerged winner of Miss Hospitality Ambassador Nigeria.
The 300 level student of Human Resource Management, Zenith University, Accra, Ghana became winner of the much coveted National pageantry, which held at the Mirage Hotel in Nigeria’s number one tourism destination, Calabar, recently.
Also on the winning list as 1st and 2nd runner up respectively were pageants representing Kano, Esther Ephraim, 19; pageant representing Sokoto, Emmanuella Enweazu, 20.
While pageants representing Imo State; Margaret Ejim, 20; Kwarra, Sintei Ebimiere, 19; Akwa Ibom, Itauma Idara, 24; took 3rd, 4th, and 5th positions respectively.
The winner, Miss Ndukwe carted home the star prize of a Toyota Camry, 2009 series, while others went home with various consolation prizes.
Speaking to our reporter, the CEO of the popular event, Raymond Ago said the event aims at promoting hospitality and tourism in Nigeria.
According to him “The event is aimed at promoting hospitality and tourism in Nigeria by crowning a goodwill ambassador that will champion the course; because Nigeria is rich with cultural and traditional heritage that can be sold out internationally to attract tourists in other to improve the economic development of the nation. We have chosen Cross River to be hosting the show because of its rich cultural and tourism potentials.”
The event was graced by the glitterati including the Cross River State Publicity Secretary of the People Democratic Party, PDP, Mr. Joe Obi Bisong ; Managing Director, Cross River Tourism Bureau, Mr. Michael Williams; former Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria, MBGN, Isabella Agbor Ayuk; Cross River Most Beautiful Girl, CRMBG, Prosper Ayuk.
The event recorded performances from music crooner, Fada Kane; Najo Baba; D Cube among others, while comic emcee, Last Prophet mastered the ceremony.
