2015: Cross River PDP Makes N115Million From Sale Of Intent And Admin Data Forms

The Cross River State chapter of the ruling PDP has raked in a total of N115million from the sale of Intent and Administrative Data Forms to aspirants intending to contest election on the platform of the party in the forthcoming 2015 general election.

Findings by CrossRiverWatch at the PDP state secretariat show that 110 aspirants to the State House of Assembly from across the state have each paid N200,000 totalling N22million, for the Administrative Data Form, (ADF) which is just a euphemism for admin charges payable to the state branch of the party while another N200,000 each, totaling another N22million, was also paid to get the Intent Form, (IF) which is transmitted to the national office of the party.

A total of 46 aspirants to the Federal House of Representatives have also coughed out N500,000 each totaling N23million, for the ADF and additional N400,000 each, totaling N18.4m for the Intent Form.

While 5 Senatorial aspirants have also paid N700,000 each, totaling N3.5million for the ADF and N800,000 each, totaling N4million for the Intent Form.

So far, 11 governorship aspirants have also parted with N1million each, totaling N11million for ADF and another N1million each, totaling N11million for the Intent Form.

These sums up to a total of N114,900,000 that the party has raised so far. The amount does not include the cost of nominations forms which aspirants who desire going beyond just expression of interest will still have to pay.

The cost of Nomination Form for guber aspirants is N10million, Senate is N4million, House of Reps. N2million and House of Assembly N1million per candidate.

Though the State Party Secretary Mr. Frank Etta confirmed to CrossRiverWatch that there has been increased activity in the office with several persons coming to pick their forms, he was hesitant in giving figures pending when he can confirm them in the office.
