Hon. Rose Oko Empowers Constituents

The constituency empowerment program of the member representing Ogoja/Yala federal constituency in the House of Representatives and 2015 Northern Cross River senatorial aspirant, Hon. Rose Oko, took place yesterday, Saturday October 18, 2014 at the St. Bernard Primary and Secondary school in Yala LGA.

5 Peugeot cars, 12 tricyles, 50 grinding machines, 50 cassava processing machines, 25 soup ingredients grinding machines, 30 motor cycles and 100,000 Naira cash for 30 persons were handed down to beneficiaries who expressed happiness at the gesture of the lawmaker.

The event had in attendance the Cross River State governor, Senator Liyel Imoke, Speaker, House of Representatives, Hon. Aminu Tambuwal, Senator Benedict Ayade, Speaker, CRSHA, Hon. Larry Odey, Mr. Legor Idagbo, Mr. Patrick Ugbe, Chief Akwase, Admiral Ogbor among others.

Governor Imoke lauded the lawmaker for remembering her people and described her as a leader with a difference and exceptionality adding that Yala people have not witnessed that kind of empowerment in the history of leadership in the area.

The Speaker of the House of Representative and other guests all took their turns to eulogize the lawmaker and prayed that God will give her further opportunity to do more for her people.
