Senate Leader, Victor Ndoma-Egba SAN, has picked his nomination from from the Wadata House, Peoples Democratic Party Headquarters, Abuja to seek to be re-elected at the party’s primary election coming up in November 22, 2014.

The Leader of the Senate arrived People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Headquarters in company of his wife Mrs. Amaka Ndoma-Egba amidst a waiting crowd of supporters who sang and chanted songs to the delight and admiration of passers-by, staff and visitors to the National Secretariat of the party.

After the collection of the form, the party’s National Organising Secretary, Alhaji Abubakar Mustapha described Ndoma-Egba as “a humble and unassuming stabilising figure in the National Assembly whose enormous influence has brought stability to the nation’s legislature in particular and the nation’s polity in general”.

He said Ndoma-Egba needs no introduction and his role in the National Assembly needs not to be over emphasized. He also assured Ndoma-Egba of the party’s total support and assured him of a level playing ground as a cardinal position of the party in order to reduce rancour and entrench internal democracy.

Senator Ndoma-Egba while reacting to the encomiums, reminded the National Secretariat of the need to keep an eye on what’s going on in the various State Executives of the party as many State Excos have become partisan and taking sides with particular aspirants, which is not in line with the role and responsibility of an umpire. He wondered why the party registers are missing and asked, “Where are our party registers in Cross River State.?”

The Senator reminded the party of the need to reward loyalty to the party as he has demonstrated uncompromising loyalty to the party from day one.

He told the party not to forget the role played by some persons who flaunted the party’s instruction in the House of Representative and elected the Speaker against the wishes of the party which had zoned the position to the South-Western part of Nigeria.
