Students Group Canvass Third Term For George O’Ben-Etchi In Cross River Assembly

Students under the aegis of Students Ambassadors for Positive Impact, SAPI Akamkpa 2 State Constituency have drummed support for a member of the Cross River State House of Assembly, CRSHA, Hon. George O’Ben-Etchi to return for a third time.

Their stand was made public in a media briefing in Calabar recently by a delegation from the group.

Addressing the press, the group Coordinator, Comrade Kelvin Christopher, maintained that Hon. George has done great things in the constituency for students cutting across improved welfare, capacity building, education support and health.

The Coordinator further revealed that “Hon. O’Ben-Etchi has facilitated the employment of over 50 students from the constituency, given special support to law students from the constituency in any tertiary institution and major renovation of several classroom blocks of primary and secondary schools and hospitals within the constituency.”

According to him the group is made up of students from that constituency and disclosed that they as a group have launched a sensitization campaign on the need for the people of Akamkpa 2 State Constituency to vote in Hon. George O’Ben-Etchi again.

The group also commended the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in the State for standing their ground that the next governor of the State comes from the Northern Senatorial District and also expressed their support for President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan’s second term bid.
