The Cross River State First Lady, Mrs. Obioma Liyel Imoke has expressed her gratitude to God for the successful declaration for a second term by President Goodluck Jonathan yesterday in Abuja.

Mrs. Imoke made the remark on her facebook timeline where she canvassed for support for the President who she described as “our South South brother” to continue in office.

She said: “I am thankful today as Mr. President Declares to seek the mandate of Nigerian’s to continue to serve them for the next 4 years. He promises no one will be driven to exile and the women will have more representation. So help us God. Let’s us stand by our President, our South South brother in attaining what would probably never get to our region but for the faithful God I serve.

“I am thankful to God for a successful declaration by Mr. President seeking our mandate to serve for another 4 years. But for God how would the South South have seen this position?

She also lauded her husband, Governor Liyel Imoke for the role he played in the successful declaration ceremony.

“My ever hardworking husband, Chairman of event committee; he didn’t sit down for one second because he believes in the South South Presidency of HE Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan. Congratulations in a great event and an awesome speech dearest husband.” She said.
