Hon. Daniel Asuquo, (Dansuki) representing Akamkpa/Biase Federal Constituency in the House of Representative has again won the PDP ticket to fly the party’s flag in the forth coming general elections in the come 2015.
CrossRiverWatch gathered that the incumbent House of Reps member advanced closer to returning to the lower House when his arch-contestant for the same position, and former Chairman of Biase LGA, Dr. Emil Inyang stepped down.
Competent party sources informed CrossRiverWatch that Dr. Inyang and his principal backer, Governor Imoke, decided to beat a tactical retreat at a critical stage of the fight to avoid humiliation in the face of total defeat in the battle.
Yesterday, materials for the primaries that were to be held at the premises of the College of Education, Awi, Akamkpa were said to have been taken to an undisclosed location in Calabar.
The sources also told CrossRiverWatch that the governor had to hastily beat a tactical retreat upon his reflection on the battle which the young Daniel Asuquo gave his friend, Mr. Donald Duke, some years back, and concluded that Hon. Asuquo may be more formidable now than he was years back, coupled with the unwavering spirit of the youths of Akamkpa/Biase who were vehement in their support for Dansuki.
