Castro Ezama, Chairman, Re-Build Nigeria Initiative Cross River State Chapter

Information reaching CrossRiverWatch has it that the Cross River State chapter of Re-Build Nigeria Initiative, RBI a political support group in Nigeria with chapters in the 36 states of the country, has been plunged into crisis.

The information which was disclosed to CrossRiverWatch by a top member of the Cross River State chapter of the organization who pleaded anonymity has it that, “This organization from inception was founded to support the 2015 presidential re-election bid of President Goodluck Jonathan but besides the Presidency we were allowed to support any other candidate for any office that will not jeopardize the re-election interest of the President and the PDP which made us in Cross River State to adopt Prince Goddy Jedy Agba as our governorship candidate.

“We have chapters in the 18 local government areas of the state with members spanning above 3000 all from the PDP, recent activities in the state PDP has triggered a defection move of members of Re-Build Nigeria to the APC. Now when we were with Jedy before the hard news of him no more running came down we were the largest group behind him, we sucked our own personal resources into his campaign but when that news came, we lost the most without compensation.

“Now we as party faithfuls decided to remain steadfast and still throw our lots in for the party’s candidate in all offices but the manner at which things are been coordinated by high handedness has made us as a team decide to decamp with all our members to APC. As we speak talks are on going for mass defection and soon we will come public, there is still some work to be done before the move is made completely but we are 80 percent ready for defection”.

When CrossRiverWatch contacted the state chairman of the organization, Mr. Castro Ezama via his mobile number to confirm the authenticity of the information, he hanged the phone on our reporter and refused to take several other calls.
