The Speaker of Cross River State House of Assembly Hon John Gaul Lebo has called on staff of his office to brace up to work or face stiff sanctions.
Meeting with members of his staff recently, the Speaker acknowledge team spirit as the driving force to achieve common goals while soliciting humility, diligence and tenacity as key attributes from staff to serve the public satisfactorily.
He advised against nepotism, reminding staff that he was the Speaker of the Cross River State House Assembly with the entire state as his constituency and not only a member representing Abi State Constituency, adding that the office must adhere strictly to his open door policy.
The Speaker, who vowed to reward diligent staff, intimated that every aide should key into his vision for the House and the State, understand the herculean task before his office and work towards a successful administration while revering God in everything.
Responding on behalf of the Staff, the Chief of Staff to the Speaker, Elder E.E. Ibana pledged the loyalty and commitment of staff to the person and office of the Speaker, assuring strict adherence to the Speaker’s open door policy while eschewing any manner of nepotism.
Elder Ibana promised to instill team spirit and diligence in the staff, noting that the Speaker’s good aura would help to inspire the staff to maximize the opportunities to serve and ensure efficiency.
