Senator John Owan Enoh In a bid to appreciate the support given to him by constituents during the March 28, 2015 polls penultimate week embarked on a thank you tour round his senatorial district.
Owan Enoh who represents the Cross River Central Senatorial District in the National Assembly visited the six local government areas which make up the district with supporters joining him in a convoy which CrossRiverWatch gathered some mistook for a campaign.
The same scene played out in all local government areas during the visit as he met with traditional rulers and in what was described as his ‘usual kind manner’ doled out gifts in cash and kind to those present.
Senator Owan while in Abi promised effective representation and disclosed he had once lived there.
In Yakurr he solicited support from the people in form of prayers for their leaders to perform and urged members of the People Democratic Party, PDP to be strong and remain in the party they have worked for to enjoy the benefits.
Joining the thank you tour in Etung and Obubra, the member representing Etung/Obubra federal constituency, Hon. Mike Etaba took care of 150 aged people in Obubra and 140 of them in Etung.
He described Owan Enoh as his master and stressed that he will go wherever Owan goes.
While in Boki, Honorable Itam Abang who represents Boki 1 in the State Assembly referred to him as a ‘well bred child’ explaining that it was only a well bred child that when given a gift will come back and say thank you.
Owan Enoh played the party card once more urging the Boki people to settle their differences through their leaders, adding that the PDP believes in leadership.
CrossRiverWatch from findings gathered that he asked the immediate past director of the Ikom Urban Development Authority what it costs to clean up the town as it was looking dirty and the cleaning is said to have been carried out two days later.
A former aid to the late President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua, Ebuta Ayuk lauded the works of the Senator urging him to do more.
The tour wrapped up with a thanksgiving mass at Holy Family Catholic Church in Ikom with the emeritus Archbishop of the Calabar metropolitan diocese, Most Reverend Joseph Ukpo celebrating the mass.
Owan Enoh also distributed Forever Living Products, soaps, detoxifiers and immune boosters at the reception.
