College Of Health Technology Holds Graduation Ceremony In Calabar

The College of Health Technology in Calabar on Thursday 17th September, 2015 held its graduation ceremony for the 2014/2015 outgoing students of Community Health Department of the institution.

The event which witnessed a huge turnout of dignitaries from around the country also had a reach display of indigenous culture.

The Acting Provost of the school, Mrs. Mercy Effiom in her opening speech, thanked everyone for finding time to grace the occasion, and also told the graduating students for their roles in community and nation development.

The Head of Department, Mr. Francis Ushie in his last words to the graduating students urged them to keep on doing their best to be the best in life.

He brought back to light memories of when the school was established during the administration of Mr. Donald Duke and applauded stakeholders for the height the school has attained today and strongly boasted of the quality of students produced on yearly basis from the school.

He enthusiastically charged them to launch out and stop living apologetically as mistakes will lead to perfection in their field of specialization.

He also assure the public that, with the injection of these new graduates into the society, they should expect a community that will be well protected.

One of the graduating students, Akparawa Aniebiet Ekong, described matriculation and graduation as very important as far as students’ life is concerned.

He also told our reporter that the ceremony serves as an eye opener and will redefine the dreams and vision of the graduating students.
