The exotic cars show and carnival scheduled for today as part of the new content introduced in the Calabar festival failed to hold with no official statement stating the reason why.

“Wonders on Wheels” as it is tagged in the timetable was scheduled to kick off at 10a.m. at the Millennium Park but nothing happened to suggest it was even in the timetable as there was no special decoration to suit the show.

The show as explained by several, including Governor Benedict Ayade at different fora was aimed at injecting vitality into the carnival after 10 years of celebration.

As at the time of filing this report, there is yet to be released, an official statement why the event did not hold.

It will be recalled that CrossRiverWatch reported recently that the governor was ready for the exotic cars and bikers carnival with the purchase of bikes and a convertible Chrysler which he tested, Sunday.

This is not the first event on the festival time table that did not hold with the reggae/gyration night amongst several others suffering same fate.
