Chief John Odigie Oyegun, National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC has described Chief Clement Ebri, Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba, Senator Bassey Otu, Chief Sunny Abang, Prince Goddy Jedy Agba, Chief Fidelis Ugbo, Chief Francis Bullem, Hon. Paul Adah among others as the caliber of men needed to help clean the country.
He said this yesterday while officially receiving them and other defectors along with thousands of their supporters into the APC in Cross River State, where he described them as “shakers and movers of politics in Cross River”.
The APC National Chairman pointed out that “APC is not a ‘Ghana-Must-Go’ party, we need men of goodwill, people of truth to help us clean this country”.
After commending the defectors and assuring them that they won’t regret joining the party, he concluded by calling on all APC faithfuls in the state to remain committed to the party’s course.
Also speaking, the APC National Vice Chairman, South-South, Mr. Hilliard Etta said “Cross River people are saying they won’t vote for impunity and disrespect of the rule of law”.
He said the people of the State are grateful to the President for what he has done so far for the People of the State.
Concluding, Mr. Etta welcomed the new members and expressed high hopes that the party will live up to expectation.
In separate brief speeches, Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba, Senator Bassey Otu and Prince Jedy-Agba on behalf of their senatorial districts, pledged to work fervently for the party in ensuring that in subsequent elections they will over power PDP.
The ceremony was graced by members of the party from across the 18 local government areas of the State.
