Governor Ben Ayade of Cross River State has appointed 4 new Special Advisers, 27 Special Assistants, 7 Personal Assistants and 5 Senior Special Assistants into his government.
This will shoot the total number of appointees in the government to over 300, a number that is higher than the appointments both Duke and Imoke, combined, made in their 16 years in government.
In a statement by Christian Ita, the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, the appointments take immediate effect.
Among the new appointees is Dr. Donclem Enamhe who has been appointed Senior Special Assistant on Communication and Branding. Reverend Father Francis Eworo has also been appointed Special Adviser, Government Assets.
The Special Advisers in charge of the Community and Primary Health, Dr. Betta Edu and the Special Adviser, Investment Promotion have also been elevated to Director Generals as their Departments have been turned to Agencies.
