The Bridge Leadership Foundation (TBLF) has kicked off a five-day Graduate Employability Training (GET) for female graduates in Calabar, the Cross River State capital.
The Bridge Leadership Foundation is a non profit organization committed to building generations of young people educated to become compassionate, entrepreneurial and engaged citizens who are empowered to take responsibility for their own lives thereby making a difference in the world.
The Graduate Employability Training is one of the activities organized by TBLF to invest in the employability and entrepreneurship potentials of young Nigerian graduates to assist them transit from school to the workplace effectively through capacity building.
During the GET sessions different facilitators take diverse topics ranging from self discovery, corporate, business and social etiquette, communication and presentation, understanding the recruitment process including generating business ideas.
According to Senator Liyel Imoke, the erstwhile Governor of Cross River State and the Founder of TBLF, in his written message to participants the “GET will continue to be an effective tool to prepare young graduates for the increasingly competitive and innovative workplace.
“In the near future, I anticipate I will have more time to possibly facilitate a session and adequately share my experiences in public service and business spanning at least two (2) decades.”
The facilitators for the 2016 GET include Ify Emeka Onu, Ngozi Obigwe, John Obidi, Lanre Phillips, Mofolosade Sonaike and Chwukwunonso Ume-Ezeoke.
The 2016 GET kicked off on the 18th April, 2016 and will end on 22nd April, 2016 and is holding at Jorany Hotels, Asari Eso , Calabar Cross River State.
Part of the activities lined up include an investors forum comprising of panelists from First Bank, GTBank, The Bank of Industry and The Cross River State Medium Enterprise Development Agency, MEDA.
The 2016 Graduate Employability Training is sponsored by Dangote Group and Jorany Hotel, Calabar.
