An award for distinguished professional contribution to public service and Fellowship has been extended to the Director General of Cross River State Primary Healthcare Development Agency, Dr Betta Edu, by the Institute of Corporate Administration.
The award was given to the young and energetic DG on 13th May, 2016 in Calabar during the 2016 Innovation Conference of the institution.
According to Dr. G.C Onyekwere, who presented the award to the DG on behalf of the Governing Council; the award is in recognition and appreciation of her dedication and commitment to service, upwardly mobile and visionary approach to administrative matters, professionalism in service and public spiritedness.
“This offer qualifies you as a senior member of the Institute and entitles you to append the designatory letters FCAI after your name.
Dr. Betta Edu in her response appreciated God and thanked the institution for bestowing on her what she described as a “motivational and inspiring award.”
She dedicated the award to the Cross River State Governor, Senator Ben Ayade, who provided the platform for her to serve and who has been supporting the health team to provide quality healthcare services to Cross Riverians, while also promising not to give up until the primary health care system in the state is fully revitalized and functional.
The theme of the 2016 Innovation Conference of ICA was “Social Intelligence and Performance Management in a Depressed Economy.”
