An unnamed man, Monday in Obudu local government area of northern Cross River State bolted away with an unknown sum he snatched from an unsuspecting user of the Automated Teller Machine (ATM).
The event, witnessed by this reporter occurred outside the ATM gallery of the First Bank of Nigeria branch close to Banana Park in Obudu Urban where the victim seemingly in his early fifties with the cash withdrawn in a waterproof held in his hand was attacked by the thief in his mid twenties who snatched it from him and bolted at lightning speed.
The thief was chased by a crowd into the Obudu central motor park where he disappeared into thin air with the victim left wailing with several passers-by consoling him of his loss.
According to the Police, this is the first of such incidence in the local government which is rather known for acts of gangstarism as reported severally by CrossRiverWatch.
