The Cross River State Judiciary has reshuffled judges in charge of some courts in the State. The information was contained in circular No. 1 of 2016 which was obtained by CrossRiverWatch.
Part of the circular reads; “Following the appointment, swearing in and successful completion of induction courses by 3 newly appointed judges, the exigency of service, has necessitated the following postings of Honorable High Court Judges”.
The circular goes on to announce that Justice Michael Edem has been transferred from High Court 2 in Calabar to Court 1 in Ikom and is to act as Divisional Judge.
Justice Emilia Ibok from High Court 3 Calabar to High Court 2 Calabar and to act as Administrative Judge.
Justice Maurice Odey Eneji from High Court Ikom to Court 3 Calabar. Justice Eyo Effiom Ita from High Court Ugep to High Court 5 Calabar and Justice Sampson Mbeh Anjor from High Court Akpabuyo to High Court 6 Calabar.
Others are, Justice Bassey Efiong Ikpeme from High Court Ogoja to High Court Ugep. Justice Francesca Nnang-Isoni from High Court 6 Calabar to High Court 2 Ikom, Justice Adie Attoe-Onyebuike from High Court 7 Calabar to High Court 3 Ikom, Justice Elias Ojie Abua from High Court 8 Calabar to High Court Ogoja. And Justice Ofem Ikpi Ofem from High Court 9 Calabar to High Court Akpabuyo.
Finally, Justice Ukpai Abba Ibitham, Justice Eno Ikpi Ebri, Justice Ayade Emmanuel Ayade are all to resume at the High Court 8 Calabar, High Court Obubra, and High Court 9 Calabar respectively. And Justice Edem Ita Kooffreh from High Court Obubra is to resume at High Court 7 Calabar.
According to the circular they are to resume duty on the 27th Day of June 2016.
