Ayade Approves Recruitment Of 1041 Staff Into Water Board, SUBEB

Cross River Governor, Senator Ben Ayade has approved the recruitment of 1,000 Teachers into the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) and about 41 more into the Cross River State Water Board Limited (CRSWBL).

Governor Ayade had shortly after assumption of office lifted the over 2 decade’s embargo place on employment in the state civil service.

The Executive Chairman, SUBEB Stephen Odey in a statement signed by himself and made available to Journalists in Calabar said the Governor had approved the recruitment of 1,000 teachers into the Board following the retirement and death of staff of the board.

“Applicants are hereby requested to forward their applications with photocopies of their credentials (NCE/B.Ed.) including, Email/Telephone numbers to the Executive Chairman State Universal Basic Education Board from Monday 29th August to Monday 12th of September 2016. (Within two weeks). Being computer literate will be an added advantage” read the statement.

The statement also added that: “Applicants will be subjected to a rigorous aptitude test, oral interview and verification of certificates before they can be employed. Applicants above 30 years of age need NOT APPLY”. It warned that those who present fake certificates will be handed over to relevant security agencies for prosecution and the shortlisted applicants will be contacted for aptitude test.

Also, the governor after a presentation by the board of CRSWBL and the ministry of Water resources, Tuesday in Calabar, approved the recruitment of 15 engineers, 6 chemist and 20 junior staff.
