CALABAR MUNICIPAL: The body of a young man and notorious kingpin simply identified as Papa and Morino Monday, was found dead along Parliamentary Extension Calabar, the capital city of Cross River State.

The body as observed by this reporter, bears a lot of machete cuts mostly on the head and trunk region, his right hand wrist almost chopped off, several stabs on the face (below the chin almost close to the neck) as well as his stomach region.

Upon him also were vehicle tires with a smell, possibly that of petrol filling the atmosphere around him, his legs tired with ropes which suggested he was to be set ablaze.

The late kingpin, identified to our reporter by Edem Edem (not actual name) was until his death, a member of a dreaded armed robbery gang that has been terrorizing the neighborhood for a long time.

Disclosing further that Morino was recently released from detention by the Federal Housing Division of the Nigeria Police Force where he was held for armed robbery and other related crimes, Edem (not actual name) broke down in tears as he said, “Morino wake up, Papa na u be this, u just d return from detention and now u still do am again …”.

As at the time of going to press, Morino’s body was still lying there with no information regarding who killed him.
