Apollonius Lodge of the Ancient Mystical Order of Rosae Crusis (AMORC) has organized a one day public lecture for over one hundred participants in Calabar, the Cross River State capital.
While declaring the lecture open, the Grand Councilor of Akwa Ibom State, Frater Ime Obot said the lecture became necessary because over the centuries human beings have not been so much invested with the knowledge of who God is to enable them live in harmony with the universe.
According to him, the purpose of the lecture was to provide answers to some mind burgling questions such as: who is God, why are we here, what is our purpose in life and where are we going from here etc..?
“The magnificence of God’s complexity is further overwhelmed by the magnificence of the universe in terms of the skies, mountains, plains, seas, oceans, animals, minerals and experience”, he said.
The Worthy Master of Apollonius Lodge Calabar, Frater Henry Ojogu who was the convener attributed the success stories recorded by members of the order to the love of God, Fraters and Sorors for the development of knowledge about God, man and the universe.
The lecture which lasted for over Six hours with the theme “Understanding God” was facilitated by the Grand Councilor, Cross River State, Frater Ekanem Koffi-Ekanem.
While presenting his paper, he said: “AMORC is a non sectarian body of men and women devoted to the investigation, study and practical application of natural and spiritual laws for the attainment of health, happiness and peace profound”.
Adding that contrary to the various negative beliefs held against the Order and the likes by some members of the society, it is a place worthy of belonging to.
The one day lecture later ended with a press briefing with journalists who were in attendance including the host Regional Monitor Frater John Omori.
