The Cross River State Government has sealed the building housing a radio station belonging to Prince Jedy Agba, at the State Housing Estate, Calabar, Opposite the governor’s Mega Hilton Hotel.
Officials of the State Task force, Ministry of Land and Urban Development, Town Planning department, Wednesday visited the office and sealed the gate with red ribbon and wrote on the fence “stop work, task force, MLUD/TP”.
The radio station is expected to commence test transmission from October 1st, 2016.
Our reporter who visited the scene observed that installation of equipment at the station has long been completed and tasteful support infrastructure.
As at the time of filing this report, all effort made to reach Jedy Agba was not successful and the state Ministry of Lands officials who were contacted were also unwilling to comment on the matter.
Jedy Agba contested alongside Senator Ben Ayade in a very bitter race for the governorship ticket of PDP in the last general election. The duo reconciled just before the general election and Agba became the Chairman of the Finance Committee of Ayade Campaign before decamping to APC earlier this year.
