Ipong Youths To Get Free ICT Training From Ayade’s Aide

OBUDU: Youths in Ipong political ward of Obudu local government area of northern Cross River State are set to benefit from a free training to acquire skills on Information and Communication Technology (ICT) initiated by the Special Adviser to Governor Ben Ayade on Events Management and Governors Office, Kenneth Aklah CrossRiverWatch findings reveal.

The manager of Fidmart computers, an ICT outfit in Obudu, Mr. Dave Martins disclosed this Monday, in an interview with CrossRiverWatch where he said that ICT was the way to go in the 21st century which is why they are partnering with the Ipong politician who wants to empower his constituents.

“The program is based on the role of ICT and social networking in modern day communication and information sharing with a view to make Ipong youths cope with modern day technology challenges and become self-reliant” Martins said.

He added that: “With the advent of ICT and its subsequent positive impact on the society, it becomes imperative for any serious minded government and individuals to accord due premium to this era of vital communication revolution.”

The program CrossRiverWatch gathered, is billed for 3 months which includes a two-months rigorous tutoring and one month industrial attachment, and is expected to feature programs and courses on computer appreciation.
