Cross River born broadcaster, Wofai Samuel has been unveiled as the host of the 2016 edition of the West African Power Industry Awards holding at Lagos from November 23 – 24, 2016.
The awards which seeks to reward players in the West African power sector is expected to draw over 200 professionals with the best performing in the 2015/2016 year carting away prizes.
Wofai, a native of Yakurr local government area has been selected to host the show this year.
A graduate of the University of Calabar, Wofai began her sojourn into broadcasting at the state owned outfit, CRBC where she gained prominence hosting the breakfast show, “Good Morning Cross River”.
She also anchored several live broadcast for the Calabar festival and Carnival Calabar, running commentaries and eventually left the Corporation for Nigezie.
Responding to the announcement that she will host WAPIC 2016, Wofai, according to Vanguard said that: ” It is a dream come true as this has already opened several doors of limitless opportunities from diverse sectors on the international landscape. I give Thanks to God Almighty who has made this possible.
“Getting recognized for what you do in your mother land is one thing, being spotted as a professional to host an international event of this magnitude is another level entirely
“This is a pointer to the fact that I can measure up favorably with obtainable global standards and compete positively with my foreign contemporaries.”
