The Commissioner for Youths and Sports Development, Asu Okang and the aide to Cross River Governor, Ben Ayade on Students Matters, Mike Abuo were harassed at different points Monday at the Margaret Ekpo International Airport where they went to receive their principal.
Asu tried to play smart and beat the security cordon at the departure hall to be able to access the Tarmac where he will join a select few to receive his principal when he was caught by an Airport security official and after a brief exchange of words where he tried to show superiority was dragged by his waist belt by guys who looked like DSS officials.
He was however cleared after proper checking and security screening and looked shaken over the incidence which drew the attention of passengers and others who were waiting to be screened.
Abuo on the other hand was accused of hoarding the NGN300, 000 he was given to mobilize students to the airport.
CrossRiverWatch gathered that Abuo who explained that the money was not enough tried to clarify with situation to some angry students who approached when their colleagues got angry and began pushing him around and made away with his glasses which are rumored to have cost him NGN15 thousand.
Abuo however escaped unharmed and later led the students to welcome the Governor and dance at the U.J Esuene stadium as a show of solidarity.
