Team Cross River State To Represent South-South At Nigeria Medical Association National Games

Team Cross River State of the Nigeria Medical Association,  NMA has qualified to represent the South- South Zone of the Nigeria Medical Association at the National NMA football games in Taraba State come February 2017.

The team defeated Bayelsa State 3-1 on penalties at the Abraham Odia stadium, University of Calabar to clinch the ticket.

Reacting to the victory, the State NMA Chairman Dr. Effiong Mkpanam said said he’s delighted by the performance of his team saying he’s proud that they won not because he is the Chairman of the Organizing Committee but by performance.

He urged his colleagues to remain steadfast on their job.

On his part, the team captain, Dr. Echeng said, “I feel elated and very excited, our team is to represent the South-South zone at the national games. I want to congratulate my team mates for this feat and all the doctors in Cross River State for supporting the team”.

According to him, “We as a team dedicate this trophy to the good people of our State, the less privileged, the vulnerable in the society and those who cannot afford standard medical care, together we shall win”.
