Cross River Governor, Senator Ben Ayade has hailed his press crew for a job well done.
The governor stated this shortly after his arrival in Calabar aboard a private jet where he hailed the press team and called them “fantastic” when they greeted him.
“My press crew, fantastic people,” Mr. Ayade said.
Upon his arrival, Mr. Ayade flanked by his Deputy, Professor Ivara Esu and Secretary to the State Government, Barrister Tina Agbor was over heard telling the duo that there is a new design for the Ayade industrial boulevard which houses the rice city, Garment factory and CalaPharm.
Mr. Ayade departed Calabar for Abuja last week Thursday after commissioning the first decoder manufacturing factory in West Africa at the Calabar Free Trade Zone and attended the South South/ South East regional governors cooperation meeting in Owerri, the Imo state capital.
Mr. Ayade’s press team is headed by Mr. Christian Ita who is assisted by Mr. Linus Obogo.
Both served under former Governor Liyel Imoke and are said to have given Mr. Ayade an edge over other governors in the media.
The crew comprises correspondent from CrossRiverWatch, AIT, Channels Television, NTA as well as the state owned CRBC and Chronicle Newspapers.
Also in the crew are correspondents from Hit 95.9FM, FRCN and FAD 93.1FM.
Mr. Ayade also set up a social media team.
As at press time he was inspecting ongoing work at the rice city.
