The member representing obudu/Bekwara/Obanliku federal constituency in the House of Respresentatives, Hon. Legor Idagbo, has said that he is satisfied with the constitution of the executives of the ruling PDP in Bekwara local government area.

Hon. Legor’s position runs contary to the demands of members of the PDP caucus in the National Assembly who recently, in a petition to the governor, alleged that they were sidelined in the last PDP local government congresses which produced the incumbent chapter executives.

The petition which was signed by Senator Rose Oko and Senator Gershom Bassey, as well as seven (7) other members of the House of Respresentatives from Cross River state, except Hon.Mike Etaba, who abstained, appealed to the governor to consider taking their concerns into reckoning and reconstitute the executives with a view to accomodating the worries of all stakeholders.

But in a sharp contrast however, Hon. Legor Idagbo has told CrossRiverWatch that he is at peace and has no qualms with the chapter executives in his local government area as presently constituted.

He said, “The governor is my leader, I trust his judgement and I have no reason whatsoever to quarrel with the party executives as presently constituted in my local government area. I satisfied and prepared to work with them for the success of our great party in the entire Cross River northern senatorial district.”
