Ugep To Stage Anti-Cultism And Drug Campaign On New Year Day

An anti-cultism, anti-drug rally is set to hold on Monday, January 1st 2018 in Ugep, the Headquarters of Yakurr Local Government.

The campaign is pioneered by the Umor-Otutu Socio-Cultural Organization; which is the highest decision making body of the Ugep Community.

“The rally is aimed at creating awareness and sensitizing youths on the effects and dangers of cultism, drug abuse as well as human trafficking” a statement from the organizers reads in part.

The statement also calls on concerned and well meaning sons and daughters of the community especially youths both home and diaspora to brace up and make themselves available for the rally.

The event will further culminate to a summit in which selected speakers will throw more light on dangers and effects of cultism, drug abuse, human trafficking and other negative vices that is gradually eating up the society.

The rally will commence at 9am, and take off point is Umor-Otutu Round About.

The main event is billed for 11am at the Obol Ubi Ujong Conference Center, Ugep.
