Despite denying, the Speaker of the Cross River State House of Assembly, Hon. John Gaul Lebo has confirmed that the Assembly had declared the seat of Hon. Elucate Ekom Okara vacant for about a year now after he defected from PDP to APC.
Hon. John Gaul made the confirmation at the constitution amendment public hearing Tuesday at the Cultural Center Calabar which played host to representatives of the 25 State constituencies where he expressed dissatisfaction that INEC is still yet to conduct the said election.
