The Managing Director of Cross River State Water Board Company limited, Dr. Godwin Igile has been reprimanded by the State Council Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Comrade Victor Dan Udu for disconnecting the Press Center from public water source for months now.
The Cross River NUJ Chairam expressed his displeasure with Igile Tuesday evening at the Press Center during a briefing by the LOC of the Central Senatorial District Endorsement Team seeking for Governor Ben Ayade’s re-election between 6:50pm and 8pm.
In his words, “…Igile here is my friend but we have been disconnected from water supply for months.” Comrade Udu who spoke mildly but angrily concluded demanding that, “Please connect our water.”
Surprised though smiling, Dr. Igile who has been battling to keep his job amidst wide criticism of poor performance responded by simply saying, “I’ve heard you.”
