The remains of Madam Adeline Ndoma-Egba, mother of the Board Chairman of the Niger Delta Development Commission, Senator Victor Ndoma Egba SAN, will be interred on Saturday, February 24, 2017 in Akparabong community in Ikom LGA, a statement from the family says.
“We wish to kindly invite you to the burial of our late mother which will take place on the 24th February, 2018 at Akparabong Town in Ikom Local Government Area of Cross River State. Your presence and support will be highly appreciated,” read the statement signed by Engineer Amba Ndoma-Egba on behalf of the family.
Madam Ndoma-Egba died on December 30, 2017 just ten days to her 92nd birthday.
A statement by her son, Professor Rowland Ndoma-Egba described the widow of Justice Emmanuel Takon Ndoma-Egba as; “a most remarkable lady with an infinite capacity for love, service and sacrifice.”
Borrn on January 8, 1926, to James and Elvira Wilson in St. Catherine’s, Jamaica, the late matriarch of the Ndoma-Egba dynasty was fondly called “Angel” by the family, the statement said.
She “worked at the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital; former General Hospital, Enugu and Park Lane Hospital, Enugu, as the first theatre matron. She was the Matron at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Umuahia,” the family said.
