By Margaret John

The Cross River State House of Assembly has received a document containing the new set of bills to be debated upon as part of the processes for the ongoing constitutional amendment being carried out by the National Assembly.

The Speaker of the Assembly, Honorable John Lebo (PDP, Abi) stated this during an interactive session with journalists under the aegis of the Association of Cross River Online Journalists (ACROJ) on Friday in Calabar where he also said that the local government autonomy bill will be revisited.

Mr. Lebo said that there will be a public hearing on the grazing bill which has been a major issue of concern in the state but failed to announce the date and time for the hearing despite expressing optimism that the outcome will be positive.
