The Cross River State Governor, Senator Ben Ayade has issued a tax exemption directive to restaurants and eatries, barbing and hair dressing salons, motorcycles and Keke Napep operators and petty traders.
The directive contained in a public service announcement from the Executive Chairman of the State Internal Revenue Service, Dr. Ukam Edodi and obtained by our newsroom takes effect from the issued date, 5th February, 2018.
The announcement with the reference number IRS/CR/S/150/V.II/665 directed that, “Accordingly, owners of affected businesses are advised to take note.”
Furthermore, it’s instructs all tax collectors in the State to stop collecting from the above mentioned. “All contractors as well as staffs of the Internal Revenue Service are by this development enjoined to ensure strict compliance with His Excellence, the Governor’s directive.” The announcement concludes.
