Chief Asuquo Ekpenyong, leader of the 7 Alive (union of the seven Local Government Areas in the Southern Senatorial district of Cross River State) has lauded students from the Senatorial district for aligning with 7 Alive in the decision to return Governor Ben Ayade to Perogrino House, come 2019.
Chief Ekpenyong gave the commendation recently when he played host to a delegation from the Southern Senatorial Students (SOCRISS) and other youths from the district at his residence in Calabar, the Cross River State capital.
According to the Business mogul, “Thank you for making yourselves available as useful agents of change. Our digital Governor is always interested in matters of youths and students.”
He went on to charge them to make themselves more useful in areas of skills development as the world is fast changing.
He assured them of his support and pronounced them as the adopted youth wing of 7 Alive, urging them to shun any form of election violence; “your PVC is your strength, and be law abiding.” He said.
Earlier, the SOCRISS President, Master Hilary Ntui, lauded the developmental strides of the business mogul describing him as a positive spirit in the South and a global brand when it comes to real entrepreneurship.
He added that, “it is on the recognition of your meaningful contribution in the community and political development of our Senatorial district, and the State at large that we tend to see you as a worthy leader. Because we see you as a leader and in your judgement it is wise to return our digital Goverbor back and as our leader we are behind you.”
He concluded by disclosing that part of the reason for their coming is to thank Chief Asuquo for accepting to be a patron of SOCRISS.
