The Speaker of the Cross River State House of Assembly, Hon. John Gaul Lebo has described late former Commissioner for Water Resources, Engr. Elemi Etowa as an enigma of achievements.
The Speaker made the assertion when he led a delegation of the House on a condolence visit to the family of the late Commissioner on Wednesday in Calabar.
The Speaker expressed his grief about the sudden death of the deceased stating that “We were served with shock to hear of the demise of Elemi Etowa.”
Hon. Lebo further enumerated the many contributions of the deceased to Cross River State adding that “Engr. Etowa was such an enigma whose achievements cannot be quantified. The House is yet to recover from the shock of his death,” Lebo said.
He encouraged the family to take solace in God, as he alone can fill the vacuum created by the exit of their beloved husband.
The delegation comprised of the Speaker, Hon John-Gaul Lebo, the leader of the House and Member representing Obanliku State Constituency; Hon. Moses Ocheche, Member representing Ogoja State Constituency; Hon Peter Odey as well as the Member representing Yakurr 1 State Constituency; Hon Eteng Jones Williams.
